This is the first time I have been able to offer this autograph and only the third time I have seen one on the market. Grünner was very low key and was not a member of the OdR or any other veterans organizations. When I wrote Peter Mohr in the 80’s,he had no idea of the fate of Grünner. There are no war time pictures of Grünner, one can only assume that all his personal belongings were destroyed. The three times that I have seen his autograph come up are in this format. With all the collectors who I know,no one new of his where abouts. It was only recently that I am in contact with a collector who wrote to him directly.
